Bar Harbor
Fast growing; blue-gray

Hall’s Honeysuckle
Fragrant white flowers in spring. Can be either groundcover or vine.

Potentilla
Variety of colors, usually yellow

Tam Juniper
Can either be a groundcover or a shrub.

Sedum (Stonecrop)
Great between stepping stones/bed edgings

Purpleleaf
Fragrant white-yellow Honeysuckle flowers in spring. Can be either groundcover or vine.

Virginia Creeper
Native to Texas; red leaves in fall. Can be either groundcover or vine.

Coral
Coral red flowers in late Honeysuckle spring-summer, attracts hummingbirds

Madame Galen
Salmon-red flowers

Trumpet Vine in summer; clings to everything!!

Wisteria
May/may not flower, needs lots of support, can damage fences

Common Bermuda
Goes dormant in the winter and uses low water

Tex Turf 10
Goes dormant in the winter and uses low water

Buffalo
Goes dormant in the winter and only requires watering about once every month during growing season.

Grasses: Ornamental

Pampas Grass
Large white plumes late summer (Perennial)

Purple Fountain
Popular, dark purple leaves with purple plumes, special precautions needed during cold weather. (Annual normally, very tender Perennial)

Maiden Grass
Dark green leaves, drought tolerant (Perennial)

Switch Grass
Moderate water, heat tolerant (Perennial)
